Sunshine Strata

Location: Osoyoos | Date: 2018

The objective of this project was to provide a master planning document that would inform the decisions of the strata for a landscape renewal. Over the course of the properties life, the landscape had become increasingly disjointed, with random plants and materials filling in the gaps until they became the predominant presence. The landscape also had a dated feeling to it, and the annual expenses for maintenance was becoming untenable. Furthermore, there were sections of the property that posed a high level fire hazard, particularly around an existing pool house; and the shoreline was eroding quickly due to the increase of spring flooding. A thorough site analysis was conducted to orient possible strategies by. Proposed solutions were provided that would create aesthetic unity across the site, decrease the risk of fire, and protect and improve the foreshore through the application of the Green Shores Method.
